VALE BARQUEIROS GARRAFEIRA RED 2015 is produced from vineyards at Vale Barqueiros Estate in North Alentejo, planted on granite-derived soils and influenced by a Mediterranean climate. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Trincadeira and Syrah, the grapes were hand-picked in September 2015 and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine was matured for twelve months in French oak barrels followed by one year of bottle ageing, adding depth and complexity. It shows a garnet-red colour with aromas of wild plum jam, spices and soft vanilla notes from oak, while the palate is elegant, complex and long on the finish.
