ENCOSTA DO XISTO ESPADEIRO 2023 is produced from vineyards at Quinta de Cutiães and Quinta de Freixieiro in northern Portugal, planted on granite-derived soils and influenced by a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence. Made from 100% Espadeiro, the grapes were hand-picked at the beginning of October 2023 and fermented in stainless steel, with maturation in stainless steel vessels at 8°C to preserve freshness. The wine shows a light salmon-rose colour and offers fruity aromas of raspberry, red berries and fresh strawberries. On the palate it is dry, light and fresh, with good acidity highlighting intense red fruit flavours.
